Hacker Studios is an open concept shared space in the heart of downtown London, Ontario, Canada. We initiated the #summerofcoworking in London to encourage our community to try coworking for the summer of 2013 and experiment with styles and methods of sharing space that work for our city.

Getting here and around
Transport
Our downtown location makes getting to Hacker Studios using public transportation fairly easy. Find routes and schedules at www.ltconline.ca. We have indoor space for bikes, and some available private parking (call ahead) as well as numerous municipal and private paid parking lots nearby. 2-hour street parking is also available on most downtown streets.
Eating
We provide a fridge and microwave--you just need to provide the food! Unless you want popcorn, which we do have and sometimes to make to break up the afternoon.
Hacker Studios is also surrounded by fantastic local restaurants, and dozens of them are just a short walk away. Our owner, Joel, is well-known around London as the guy to ask about local dining establishments (he's eaten at hundreds of them!) so whatever you're looking for, he'll help you find it!
Drinking
We provide coffee, tea, Tang (it's good enough for astronauts!), and water. We're also steps away from great cafes and pubs if you're looking for something else!
Population
Hacker Studios has a roughly even mix of corporations, non-profits, and freelancers in our space, from a variety of industries. We currently have room for approximately 40 coworkers.
Culture
We're filled with hard workers! Several people have commented that the more people are here, the quieter it gets! That being said, we see spontaneous collaboration and idea generation happening every day when people come together. Whether it's leaning over to ask the developer across the table a question about iOS or unexpectedly discovering that you have shared goal and can work together, people in Hacker Studios have a way of helping each other out.
Memberships
All of our memberships include coffee, tea, Tang, and water, as well as use of both our open coworking space and more private library for meetings or confidential work. We also have a variety of equipment, from whiteboards to digital projectors, and extension cords to monitors, available for member use in the space.
